Bow Ties are Cool

Hello crafty friends,

In the famous words of the eleventh Doctor... "Bow Ties are Cool", so when i saw this stamp w/cats wearing bow ties and glasses... well, it just had to come home with me.

I stamped my very cool cat background once in brown and once in gray. On the brown card, I colored the bow ties with a copper metallic pen and on the gray card with a black metallic pen.  I followed the same color scheme with my die cuts.  On the brown card,  I die cut the Happy Birthday Corner Concept die and arranged it on the card straight.  On the gray card, I used a die cut of the Hello Curly Words die.   You can never go wrong with basic word dies.

Sweet Baby Bear Hugs Card

Welcome to the Universally Crafty Die-Versions Blog! Karen Hasheck here again and today I am sharing a sweet CAS card I made with the brand new monkey die from Die-Versions. I cut and embossed him and sponged with pink distress ink. I attached him with pop dots onto a hearts designer paper layered on a peach A2 sized card. I die cut Die-Version’s “hugs” and intertwined the two dies. I think my grandson will love this card!

Thanks for visiting the Die-Versions blog. I hope our projects inspire you to try some of the many great Die-Versions dies available at the website!

Lot of hearts made with the same die

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Today I want to share two cards made with the same XL Heart die.
Whispers - XL Heart
When we die cut with this die is gives us the outer heart frame and the inner heart doily and it's just a perfect die to make fancy shaker card using the frame as the shaker topper as I did on this card here:

I made a full step by step tutorial for this card to show the beauty of this XL Heart die.
Step by step tutorial:
1. Make the card size piece from floral cardstock and use this die to make the cuts. This Die Versions big heart die cuts into two parts, but if you have another die you can always  cut the inner part by yourself or to use two nesting dies.

2. This is the place for the inner die cut, but it's not yet glued.

3. Die cut the double sided glue foam with the same die and use the outer part only. If you don't have the double sided foam sheet use any craft foam and just add the glue over it. Glue the frame piece over the front of your card.

And this is the close up of this step.

4. Die cut again using the very same die and gold cardstock.
Glue the outer part over the double sided glue and glue the inner part under the inside die cut shape.

5. Added sequins and cover with hand cut around the die acetate piece and then glue the outer die cut frame we got during step 1.
Your shaker part is done.

6. Heat emboss Papericious chipboard with clear embossing ink and gold embossing powder. Hand cut the clock from the cardstock and arrange them both as shown.
Add 3 gold sticky corners and make the matting using two other cardstocks from the same collection.

I hope that you like my card and my tutorial and you adore this Die Versions die as much as I do!

Retro Car Happy Birthday

Hi Die-Versions Fans,

Today I want to share with you a card that I made for someone who is turning 16 and getting his permit to drive.  For this 4 1/2 inch by 6 inch card I started with white card stock for the base of the card.  Next I took some silver paper and ran it thru my Vagabond with a Diamond Plate embossing folder and then I glued that to the base of the card.  Next I took the Whispers Retro Car die and cut it out twice, once with red shimmer paper and once with silver paper.  I glue the red car to the black paper and then inlaid the silver stripes on the car.  I then distressed the edges of the black paper and glued that onto the silver and black stripe paper.  Next I took the Corner Concepts Happy Birthday die (retired die)  and cut that out with brown shimmer paper, I attached the square with the car to the Happy Birthday and placed that on the card.  I then cut out the 16 from the Missy Micro font with black paper and then I glued them onto the brown tag with the Whisper Tag Set and I attached that to the top right corner with a bronze brad.  I stamped the sentiment with black ink onto some white paper, cut the fish tail end with my scissors and then inked the edges with black ink and attached that to the card.

Here are the dies that I used:

Celebrate Spring Card

Hello, everyone!! Lisa here to share a couple of cards with you today using several Die-Versions dies. Spring is just around the corner, so I've created these cards to celebrate the new season.

The papers for these cards are from Prima. The base is a Whispers Morocco Background die and I layered it over clear plastic. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon is from DL.ART.

A Whispers Birdhouse Branch die was cut three times for shading and layering. Celebrate and Thank You are Express Edges dies.

We'd love to see your projects using Die-Versions dies on our Facebook page HERE. Be sure to stop back by tomorrow for more projects from the design team.

Happy Birthday

Hello crafty friends,

My card today is full of cute bears bearing birthday wishes thanks to two small dies... the Happy and the Birthday Sweet Wordlets dies.

I started by stamping bears all over the card front and filling the empty spots with hearts.  I colored the bears and hearts with my Zig water color brushes, using my Spectrum sparkle clear pen to bend the colors.

Next I die cut several of the Happy(s) and Birthday(s) from glitter card stock.  I glued them directly to the card front as if the bears were holding the sentiments.  I added glossy accents to all the hearts and the bears eyes and nose.

Thanks card with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Die Versions card post today.
As I still didn't get my new dies (thanks for our post service...) I worked with the oldies , but goodies and made this fancy Love card that can be used for wedding or just in case.

I used DCVW new cardstock stack and first I die cut the Moroccan background from  shiny copper cardstock.
The second layer of die cutting was the partial pink heart added over the die cut background.
The third die cut layer are those lovely kids die cut from the same cardstock and heat embossed with black embossing powder.
So the whole card was made as die cut layers and then I added a cardstock sentiment and a couple of small flowers as my embellishments.

And those are Die Versions dies used here:

Girls cards

Hi crafty friends!
Today I would like to share my newest girls cards with you.
They are fresh, pink and delicate.
I used Stitched Nesting Squares to cut my flower illustration.
I decided to use the cut shape and frame after cutting.
At last I decorated the card with the lotus flower.
Both cards are similar to each other, because they are for two sisters.
