Sweet Nativity

Anne here and today I have one last Christmas card to share with you today.  This one uses two Die-Versions dies: Sweet Nativity and the Compliments Holiday 1 set.

I started out by creating my background using Dark Night embossing powder.  As you can see from the two photos, it looks very different, depending on the way light hits it.  This is one of my favorite embossing powders to use when depicting a night sky.

I die cut the Sweet Nativity several different times so that I could accentuate the shining star.  The main part of the star was die cut twice and colored with a Spectrum Noir sparkle marker (Moonlight).  The inner part was die cut three times and glued on top of each other.  This third layer was added because I wanted it to be taller than the outer area of the star.  I also added Sunny Daze glitter to this smaller part for added sparkle.

The entire die cut was heat embossed with Sparkle embossing powder for a shimmery look.  You can really see this detail in the first photo.

The sentiment was die cut from white cardstock and adhered to the bottom.  If you look at this die, you will notice that the actual word on here is "Seasons".  As you can see, I cut off the "s" to fit my needs. 😊

One last look at how the light can affect the way this card looks.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and wishing you the best in the new year.

SEASON'S GREETINGS FROM DIEVERSIONS

Season's Greetings from DieVersions.

The year is almost finish and this was an amazing year. I had the opportunity to share with you my passion for paper crafts and die cuts and I am very thankful with all of you. I wish you that the 2017 will be plenty of love and health for all you and your families.

Today I am sharing the last card of the year with DieVersions die cuts, this is one of my favorites brands of die cuts and my favorites teams and I created this thinking in all you ladies!

My card is very simple, just like my style but I chose this die cut because I considered it one of the most beautiful and elegant for Christmas.
It is Whispers Delicate Deer and I cut it using Metallic Dark Gray card stock.
  1. Cut the base of card using Real Red card stock. The size is 4-1/4"x11" with score in 5-1/2"
  2. Cut the second layer using Very Vanilla card stock. The size is 4"x5-1/4"
  3. Stamp the pine branches on the lower part of the very vanilla layer using Garden Green Classic Ink.
  4. Cut the Whisper Delicate Deer using Metallic Dark Gray card stock.
  5. Paste the Delicate Deer using Helmar Glue
  6. Stamp the sentiment using Garden Green Classic Ink
  7. Paste the decorated layer over the card base.
  8. Add a few touches of Wink of Stella clear over the pine branches.

Thank you for stopping by all the year.

Enjoy these days, take care of you and your heart and don't forget that in the live the most important things are priceless!

See you soon!

Feliz Noche Buena

Feliz Navidad crafty friends,

Hoy es Noche del Navidad... Noche Buena for most Spanish people.  The Cuban side of our family (my side) gets together for dinner, presents and a good time.  The grand kids are older now, with the oldest being 23 and the youngest (my son) 16.   The evening and following morning (we all stay the night at my parents), is full of good food, old stories and laughter.   I made this card for my parents...

I used red and gold glitter paper to match the gold foiled Christmas tree on the pattern paper and the following two retired fonts from Die-Versions... Red Carpet and A Hint of Lime.

Thanks for stopping bye today.  Wishing you all a very Merry Christams/Feliz Navidad!

Holiday tag with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my second December  post for Die Versions.
This is a third Holidays tag I share here already  and as you can see each one is totally unique and totally different.
On this tag I used Die Versions Winter Cottage die that was die cut from patterned cardstock and layered over the double sided glue sheet. The gaps were filled with clear  sparkling glitter and  can be seen on the tag.
All other pieces are chipboards that were the perfect fit to this Die Versions die.
I used Canvas Corp products, Tando chipboards and Rubber Dance stamps.

Spring Pond Water Scene

Welcome to the Universally Crafty Die-Versions Blog! Are you ready for some Spring inspiration? I am already tired of the cold and snow of winter! Karen Hasheck here again and today I am sharing a card I made with the beautiful Spring Pond background die from Die-Versions and a fun soap bubbles technique I learned how to do on this video. All you need is dark Distress Inks and soap bubbles created with dish soap. I chose a medium blue distress ink because I knew for this card I wanted a background that looked like water. After it dried, I simply attached the lovely Spring Pond background diecut and layered it on an A2 card. CAS card but fun for any occasion for someone special.

Thanks for visiting the Die-Versions blog. I hope our projects inspire you to try some of the many great Die-Versions dies available at the website!

Merry Christmas

Happy Monday!! Lisa here to share a Christmas project with you using several Die-Versions dies.

I love making ornaments using Die-Versions dies cut with vinyl. For this ornament and card set, I used Alcohol Inks for the base. Stop by my blog for a tutorial on how I created the background for the card and the coloring of the ornament.

For the ornament, I used the Whispers Regal Reindeer die (not currently in stock). Christmas is from the Compliments Holiday 1 set. Whispers Holly Branches (not currently in stock) were added under the poinsettia.

I used the same dies for the card. The Regal Reindeer die was covered in Shabby White Frantage.

I had so much fun with the technique, I made another ornament using the Whispers Delicate Deer die (not currently in stock).

Hand made wripping paper with Die- Versions die

Hello!
This time I would like to show you guys, how can you use leftovers, in form of a cut-out "stencil", after using your dies.
For example, you can make your own wrapping paper for Christmas gifts.
You need white acrylic paint, paintbrush and regular packing paper.
Now, you must put the stencil on the paper and using paint, fill in the shape of the stencil. Repeat in various spaces/gaps.
After the paint dry out you can wrap your Christmas presents with it.
To match the wrapping paper, I made a simply Christmas card, with the reindeer cut out from my "stencil".
Try it, it's very funny job!

I HAVE AN ANGEL

I have an angel and I am sure you too!

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a card that I made using one of the die cuts included on the set Whispers Angels Of Peace from DieVersions. I think all of us have an angel on the sky and this inspire me to make this card:

To create this card I used Wild Wasabi card stock for the base and Very Vanilla card stock for the second layer.
  1. Cut the card base, the size is 4-1/4"x11" with score in 5-1/2"
  2. Cut the very vanilla layer. The size is 4"x5-1/4".
  3. Cut the die cut on the right corner of the very vanilla layer and keep all the negative parts. It is very important.
  4. Stamp your images over the very vanilla card stock.
  5. Paste the stamped layer direct over the card base using a snail adhesive.
  6. Take the die cut piece that you cut and place in their own space.
  7. Add adhesive to the negative parts (the small pieces) and paste directly over the card base.
  8. Remove the die cut piece and keep it for other great project!

Old Man Winter

Ingredients:

Die-Versions Sweet Petite Snowflake Die (retired)
Sparkle N Sprinkle Milton Giraffe Catching Snowflakes stamp set
Reindeer stamp
Versamark
Gold embossing powder
White embossing powder

For this 5 inch by 6 inch card I started with white card stock for the base of the card.  Then I took the wood grain paper with snowflakes, inked the edges with brown ink and attached that to the base.  I cut out the Die-Versions Whispers Old Man Winter die with Whitewashed Core'dinations paper, sanded it a bit and placed him in the upper left hand corner. I stamped the reindeer stamp with Versamark and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.  I took the sentiment from the Sparkle N Sprinkle Milton Giraffe Catching Snowflakes stamp set and stamped it with Versamark and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  Lastly I cut out the retired Die-Versions Sweet Petite Snowflake die with some white glitter paper and added that to the card.

Be sure to check out the Die-Versions Blog often to get ideas on how to use your dies!

Singing Carolers

Today I'd like to share another Christmas card with you.  This uses a stencil from Dreamweavers (Bare Trees) and the Singing Carolers die from Die-Versions.

I started out by creating the background using the Dreamweaver stencil and Nuvo Glimmer paste (White Blizzard) on black cardstock.  This glimmer paste looks very different on different color cardstock.  Even on the black, depending on how you hold it in the light, you'll see different colors.  You can see some variances in the background between the photo above and the one below.  (Love this stuff!)

While this was drying, I die cut the Singing Carolers from white cardstock and colored various areas with Copic markers and Spectrum Noir Sparkle markers.  I also added more Nuvo White Blizzard onto their bodies and the books they are holding.  I squeezed some out and spread it around with my finger tip.

For the lady's "hair", I added dimensional glue and covered it with Snow White flock.  Once this was dry, I colored her hair with a light yellow Copic marker.

I pop dotted the carolers in front of the trees and added some patterned paper and kraft cardstock.  A golden rope is the finishing touch.

Be sure to pop back here often to see what the rest of the team has created for you.

Christmas Ornaments

Happy Monday!! I hope all of your holiday preparations are going well!! Lisa here to share a Christmas project with you today :)

I made ornaments last year using Die-Versions dies and vinyl and I just loved how they turned out, so I made more this year. You can see last year's version HERE.

I started with clear ornaments and then removed the top. I poured about a tablespoon of Future Floor Polish inside and rolled it around until it coated the entire surface. Then I added the glitter and rolled the ornament until the entire surface was covered. The Whispers Christmas Word Tree was cut in green vinyl and then adhered to the front of the ornament. If it doesn't lay flat or bumps appear, you can just use a heat gun to flatten the vinyl.

For this one, I used the Whispers Angels of Peace, cut in red vinyl. The dies cut the vinyl perfectly.

Homemade Christmas gift :)

Hi all!
Every year, I made some hand-made Christmas presents.
Today, I would like to show you how I decorated a candle in a jar.
I've cut out two stripes from scrapbooking paper, one bigger and one smaller.
Then, I used white twine, put on silver bells and few gemstones, chipboards and finally
three reindeers from Sweet Petites Collection.

Layout inspiration with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my first December inspirational post for Die Versions.
It was quite a long time since I scrapped  for Die Versions. So today it's a layout day and I want to share this layout made with DCWV products, some chipboards and a lot of Die Versions die cuts.
As you can see I used Stitched Nested Stars all around this page. My dear lovely grand daughter is a star and DV are stars of this page.
All circles were die cut with Die Versions Nested Stitched Circles and then the negatives were used in the central section of this page.
I added this girl die cut (from the girl and boy one) on the tag near the photo and also covered the photos with this Love frame.
Here are some close- ups to this page.
First the stars:

And here are more stars, the circles and the part of the frame.

The girls silhouette is here:

Season's Greetings

Hello crafty friends,

The trend of shaker cards has not stop, because everyone loves them.  So today I'm showcasing a fairly simply shaker card... if I'm allow to use the words simply and shaker card in the same sentence.

The pattern paper already had an ornament on it, but I wanted to create my own and only needed the top of the ornament.  I cut an oval in the middle of my pattern paper and an 1/8th of an inch oval frame from gold glitter card stock to give my shaker window a finished look.  I added a beautiful red glitter card stock Season's Greetings die cut.

As a final touch, I cut my pattern paper on an angle and added more of the gold glitter card stock on either side.  Here's a quick video of the shaker card in action...

Singing Carolers

Hello Die-Versions Fans,

Today I am sharing with you a card that I made with the Die-Versions Whispers Singing Carolers die.  For this A2 card I started with white card stock, then I took a piece of music paper, inked the edges with red ink and attached that to the card. I took some black shimmer paper and cut it out using the Whispers Singing Carolers and I attached that to the card.  I took some red paper and cut out the Whispers Singing Carolers again and I inlaid the red pieces into the black.  I took some more red paper and cut out the Sweet Wordlets Peace On Earth and added that to the card.   Lastly I made a bow with some of the DL.ART Christmas Red crinkle ribbon and added that to the card.

Be sure to stop back often to see more fun creations made with the fun Die-Versions dies!

I hope I have inspired you to create something fun today!

Welcome to the Universally Crafty Die-Versions Blog! Karen Hasheck here again and today I am sharing a Christmas card I created with the beautiful Christmas Word Tree and a fun background. I sponged a couple shades of green ink through a stencil and then cut it out with Die-Version’s diamond background die. I attached that to a green card base and then attached the Christmas Word Tree. I colored the star gold with glitter to finish the CAS card. Hoping the tree wishes are yours this Christmas season!

Hello December

and hello crafty friends,

The first Christmas card I'm showcasing here is one that uses my most reached for Christmas die... in my opinion, it's one of the best dies in the whole DV line.   I talking about the Complements - Holiday 1 die, which is actually several words dies in one... and it's currently on SALE!

The Merry Christmas on the card below in just one of the words in this die.  This card is a good example of a card made with very few items.  One die, one image, one 6x6 sheet of pattern paper and one piece of white card stock (actually i used watercolor paper).

Thanks for stopping bye today, leave me some feedback or links to your projects using some of our great dies.  Don't forget to use the code mary15 for 15% off your order (not valid with sales or discounts) when shopping at Die-Versions.
