Happy Birthday!!

For this 5 x 7 inch card I started with pink cardstock.  I cut out the Whispers Hot Air Balloon Birthday die several times with different patterned papers and then pieced the balloons together and attached them to the base of the card.  I cut out the Happy Birthday sentiment from the die several times and added it to the hot air balloons and then added a two extra sentiments to the card.  Easy Peasy and all ready to be mailed out to the Birthday Girl!!

Here is the die I used:

86 days to Christmas

Hi crafty friends!
It's hard to believe how fast does the time fly. Christmas is around the corner :).
Yesterday I made my first Christmas cards for this season.
I prepared the base from scrapbooking papers, which I distressed with scissors. I also used a light paste and mask, because I would like to have a snow effect on the base.
For the first card I used these Die- Versions dies:
Sweet Petites - ReindeerExpress Edges Mini - Good Times

For the second card I used:
Whispers - Reindeer SleighSweet Petites - House With ChimneyExpress Edges Mini - Good Times

I hope you like both of my cards and I gave you a reason to start your very own Christmas productions :)

Merry Christmas

Anne here for today's blog post and I've created another Christmas card using the lovely Elegant Poinsettia die and the Merry Christmas Sweet Wordlet die.

I wanted to keep it simple and flat for easy mailing, so I die cut the Elegant Poinsettia twice, once from the gold cardstock and once from white cardstock, and used the inlay technique.  I've saved the gold poinsettia for future use and used the negative portion for the background.  The Glueless Glitter technique was used to create the sparkle on the main image.  This is a super easy technique and so much quicker than trying to add glue to a die cut.  First, heat emboss your die cut with embossing powder.  I usually use clear, but today I used Ranger's White Pearls embossing powder.  Once this is heat set, cover the die cut again with VersaMark and then with your favorite glitter color.  I used Sparkling Snow from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  (It's a semi-transparent glitter so I knew a bit of the White Pearls would show through. )  Heat set the die cut again and all the glitter magically melts into the embossing powder :-).

For the leaves that are inlayed into the focal image, I added Spectrum Noir Glitter (Crystal Clear) markers for a different kind of sparkle.  I wanted them to stand out from the rest of the die cut.

Merry Christmas Skates

Happy Monday!! Lisa here to share a couple of Christmas cards with you today using several Die-Versions dies.

For the focal point of my cards, I used the Whispers Skate Around die. I cut them several times for the different colors of the skates, and then applied crackle paint to the boots to give them an aged look.

Once the crackle paint dried and cracked, I added raw umber antiquing medium to highlight the cracks. The blades were cut with aluminum tape. The skates were popped up with foam tape for dimension on a Whispers Stitched Nesting Squares die.

A Whispers Snowflake Corner (not currently in stock) die was added to the corner and covered with Decoart Snow Writer paint. A Sweet Petite Snowflake die (not currently in stock) was covered in crystal ice glitter.

A Whispers Lacey Dots border die (not currently in stock) was added beneath the middle layers.
Merry Christmas and...

Seasons Greetings are from the Compliments Holiday 1 die set.

WITCH SHOE AND SPOOKY GREETINGS

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a card inspiration for Halloween. Are you ready for Halloween? Take a look at my card:

To create this card I used one of my favorites die cuts for this season: the Witch Shoe. It is perfect for a lot of things - it is a great size and can be used in tags, cards or any type of decorations.

The base of my card is Whisper White card stock. I partially inked it with distress ink to create the color base for my die cut. I cut the Witch Shoe die cut in basic black card stock and pasted it directly over the inked layer.

Then I stamped the great sentiment from the stamp set Spooky Greetings by Joy Clair using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

To finalize the decoration, I stamped in the right corner of one of the skeleton faces with the same ink.

Easy and beautiful, don't you think?

Fall Window

Hello crafty friends,

I love FALL, so when I received the O'Christmas Tree die in my recent design team package I knew right away I wanted to show that this tree doesn't have to be used as just a Christmas tree.

I gathered my supplies...  the O'Christmas Tree, the Bricks Background and the largest of the Stitched Nesting Squares dies and created this card:

I started by die cutting the brick background from red card stock.  Before removing the die cut from the die, I added double sided tape to the back in a few areas (see photo below).  I did this, so that some of the little "bricks" stayed in the die cut.  I backed the red brick die cut with black card stock trimmed to fit the front of an A2 size card.

Using the largest of the Stitched Nesting Squares dies, I die cut a "window" into my brick "wall".  I also used this die to die cut two black card stock squares, which I made into "shutters" for my window.

Next I die cut three trees from red, green and orange card stocks using the O'Christmas Tree die.  I arranged them on the back of my "window wall", added some foam for dimension and a blue piece of pattern paper for a sky background.

Peaceful Christmas Card with Sun Art Paper

Welcome to the Universally Crafty Die-Versions Blog! Karen here again and today I am sharing a peaceful Christmas card I made with Die-Versions dies and Tedco Sun Art Paper. I discovered this unique paper recently and made this card front using sunlight and Die-Version’s Snowflake Corner and Sweet Petites Dove. The Tedco Sun Art kit gives the instructions for a sandwich on the specialty paper and once it is set out in the sun, the images appear almost immediately. After they do, the last step is to rinse the paper with water and let it dry. I flipped the dove diecut and raised it opposite of the sun created dove. Then I attached the Snowflake Corner diecut alongside the sun created one and then layered the piece on a white A2 card base. I added some pearls to complete the card.

Remember you can get a 15% discount on any of Die-Version’s great dies by simply using my discount code karen15 when you check out at the Die-Versions website (unless the dies are already on sale.)

THANK YOU FOR...

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a card that I made using two wonderful die cuts from Die-Versions Store: The Summer Flowers Background and Stitched Nesting Circles. Take a look at my card:

Creating this card was a very fun time:

1. Cut the base of the card using basic black card stock. The size is 5-1/2"x8-1/2" with score in 4-1/4".
2. Cut a layer of very vanilla to pass through the big shot using the Summer Flowers Background.
3. Paste the Summer Flowers Background over the card base using dimensionals.
4. Cut the second larger circle from the Stitched Nesting Circles Collection using Very Vanilla card stock.
5. Stamp your sentiment using Splendor Ink #10. It is the Circus Color Collection.
6. Decorate with two tiny butterflies.
7. Paste the stitched nesting circle in the center of your card using dimensionals.

Guitar Background

Hello crafty friends,

It's been a while since my last post, so I'm excited to show you this cute thank you card I created yesterday.  I will be making more of these in the coming days to have on hand.

This was a very easy card to make and it came together very quickly.  I used the Sweet Petites Electric Guitar to cover my card front.  I die cut it out of pattern paper and used a digital stamp Singing Luka to finish off card front.

On the inside I added a panel I printed with a faded version of the digital stamp and the caption "Thank you, thank you very much" which I found myself saying out lout in an Elvis voice :)

Winter cottage tag with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here again and how about another Holiday's tag?
It's so easy to make a very fancy Holidays tag with one single Die Versions Angelic die and some pretty papers.
Die cut the Angels background from pattered blue stars cardstock and make the tag mattings a bit larger than this die cut card sized piece.
Arrange the die cut over double sided glue sheet and add colorful assortment of glitters over the die cut piece.
I used three colors that were great fit for my cardstocks.
Add some titles and stickers, ribbons and twine and your easy made fancy tag is ready.

Spooky

Anne here with this fun and quick Halloween card which uses several dies from Die-Versions.  The focal point is the Witch Hat.  I also used the Toboggan font die for the sentiment and a now retired Sweet Petite Wicked Witch as an accent on the hat (she's one of my favorites).

I die cut the Witch Hat twice, once in black cardstock and once in white cardstock.  I colored the second one with Copic markers and added neon glitters as accents.   Electrified Yellow was applied to the lightning bolts and to the letters that created the sentiment and Energized Orange to the hat band.  Black Ice glitter gives lots of sparkle to the witch silhouette.

Two important messages :)

Hi crafty friends.
How can you say something nice to your friends? Send them a card. Because of that I made two cards with Die-Versions dies. One for a wedding and second with greetings :)
Each of them I started with white card base and added scrapbooking papers. I distressed all layers with scissors and vintage ink.
Then I cut out dies: cupid, lighthouse and message in a bottle. Paper flowers, gems and chipboards filled the whole composition:

I hope that you like both of my cards and see you again soon with more Die Versions inspiration.

Winter tag with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my first September post for Die Versions.
This is a third Holidays tag I share here already  and as you can see each one is totally unique and totally different.
On this tag I used Die Versions Winter Cottage die that was die cut from patterned cardstock and layered over the double sided glue sheet. The gaps were filled with clear  sparkling glitter and  can be seen on the tag.
All other pieces are chipboards that were the perfect fit to this Die Versions die.
I used Canvas Corp products, Tando chipboards and Rubber Dance stamps.
