BeLieVe

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Kara here today to showcase the Awareness Believe from the Whispers Collection.

I started off by stamping my background using Sparkle N Sprinkle background and building from there.  I could have done my card in any color as it seems Cancer has touched many lives in many different forms.  My hope is that a cure will be found ... someday...

After I had my background complete I cut two cuts from the Awareness Believe die for some dimension and also just a color contrast.

I hope this has sparked some creativity!  Be sure to use kara15 when shopping at Die-Versions to save 15% off your order.  This can not be combine with any other sales or promotions.    Stop by daily to see inspiration from the fabulous Design team here

School Colors Celebrating Grads Card

Welcome to the Universally Crafty Die-Versions Blog! Karen here again and today I am sharing a school colors graduation card featuring the Grads Celebrations Whispers dies found here on the Die-Version’s New Release Page.  I love to use the school colors from the grad’s school when I make a graduation card. I die cut the celebrating grads out of purple and layered on a gold card front with the words Celebrate cut out with another Die-Versions die. Then I just attached that piece to a purple card base. CAS but perfect for a celebrating grad.

Remember you can get a 15% discount on any of Die-Version’s great dies by simply using my discount code karen15 when you check out at the Die-Versions website (unless the dies are already on sale.)

Flowers Make Me Happy

Hello Crafty Friends,

Ask any crafter and they will admit that not all ideas results in good final projects.  Sometimes, I think my rejected (by me) card pile is bigger than my approved (also by me) card pile... LOL

But here's an idea, that completely surpassed my expectations...

When I saw the Nesting Frame 1 die set, I right away started to think of flowers. So I played around with the die cuts and here's what I made:

I used the retired Die-Versions Bug Jar for my flower container and behind it three rows of very old happy birthday washi tape.

and because I have flowers on my mind, how about one more flower card... for this one I used two of the Stitched Nesting Square frames to create the square frame behind the flowers.   The flowers are from the retired Vase and Roses Whisper die.   My finishing touch was a mint color Congrats die cut from the Curly Words Congrats die.

Thanks for stopping bye today, leave me some feedback or links to your projects using some of our great dies.

Same dies- different styles

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my second post made for Die Versions blog.
Today I am going to share two different cards and  totally different styles made with the very same DV die set: Stitched Nesting Circles.
I need to say that since those dies are released I am totally addicted to them and to their " brothers and sisters" aka all Stitched Nesting dies in the DV shop.
Their sizes are just perfect for cardmaking and they are so versatile in uses.
So the first card is a very modern, one layer clean and simple Mixed Media card.
I die cut  four different Stitched circles  in  white cardstock. Then I die cut same sizes of circles from different  colored cardstocks and made inlays inside the white cardstock. As the next step I  stamped the sentiment on the lower corner (IBS stamps) and misted and painted the panel with Tattered Angels mists.
A few piece of washi tape were added for a bit of interest and some black contrast.

The second card was made with the very same Stitched Nesting Circles dies, but in a kind of more shabby, vintage look.
I used DCWV cardstocks, dry embossed the background and added  five circle over the card with 3d foam glue. The Small Wordlet  THANKS DV sentiment was die cut three times  to make it totally visible.

I hope that you like both of my cards and see you again soon with more Die Versions inspiration.
I hope I have inspired you to create something fun today!  Please be sure to check back to the DV Blog often for more great ideas on how to use your dies!  And please share with us what you make on the DV Facebook Page.

It's A Girl!

For today's project, I create a criss cross baby card using some of the new baby dies recently released.

To start out, I die cut the Baby Border from white cardstock and then colored it with Copic markers.  I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops (Carnation Pink) to the baby rattle and the diaper pin.

The stamped image is by Joy Clair Clear Stamps (Oh Baby!).  I colored the image with Copic markers and stamped the head twice, so that I could adhere it on top of the base.  This added layer gives it a touch more dimension without any added bulk.

For the inside panel, I die cut the Bassinet a couple of times and colored it with Copics.  I layered the top die cut slightly off from the base for a bit of a shadow.  I also inserted a couple of the negative pieces to represent the blanket better.

The pull tab is one of the dies in the Die-Versions Nesting Flowers set.  I cut a small slit in the center to thread the ribbon in and then adhered it to the top of the panel.  Both the pull ribbon here and the ribbon across the diagonal portion of the criss cross card is part of the Baby Bundle crinkle ribbon set from DLART.

The sentiment on the inside of the card is part of the Oh Baby! stamp set and was heat embossed with Mulberry Star embossing powder.  I cut the cream panel slightly shorter than the length of the card so that I could add a stip of the patterned paper to the bottom.  I covered the seam with a small strip of double sided tape and covered it with Bubblegum glitter.

Pacifier for a Baby Girl

Hello everyone, Martha Lucia here to share with you a baby girl card using a Pacifier die cut, released this month and one of the cutest die cuts of the season.

I decided to make this card in nontraditional colors but it was very simple to create this:
  1. Cut the base using Pear Pizzazz card stock. The size is 5-1/2"x8-1/2" with score in 4-1/4"
  2. Cut the second layer using Whisper White card stock. The size is 5-1/4"x4"
  3. Using a embossing folder of border create a embossing border on the lower part of your layer.
  4. Cut the Whisper Pacifier using whisper white card stock.
  5. Using Blushing Bride classic ink, ink a small part over the second layer that coincides with the back of the decorated part of the Pacifier
  6. Paste the Pacifier using dimensionals.
  7. Stamp the sentiment over the left side of the card. I used two sentiments included on the stamp set Oh Baby of Joy Clair Stamps.
  8. Complete the decoration of the layer adding some gold star sequins.
  9. Paste the layer over the card base.

Really easy and beautiful!

I hope my project and tutorial inspired you to create more using die cuts. You can find this die cut and all that you see in our blog in DieVersions Store and you can use my discount code martha15 to buy everything that you want with a 15% off if your order is of $25 or more!

Rose and Curly Fries font

Hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Kara here today

Today I'd love to showcase a few new releases from Die-Versions.

First die I used is the Alphabet  Curly Fries font.  This comes in one solid plate, but cutting is so easy.

I wanted the entire alphabet, so I did cut the entire plate my first time.  After I had all of the letters I simply placed a piece of cardstock over my desired letter... It is super simple and the letters give you endless possibilities!

I then took the Rose die from the Whispers collection.  I cut this die and one tip I could say.. If you like colorburst or any sprays.. water coloring.. be sure to save the negative of your cut.. This could be used for another project!   I used watercolors for my rose.

Here is the final projects.  One with the Rose die and also a Mother's Day card I had made using the Curly Fries alphabet.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Be sure to use kara15 when shopping at Die-Versions to save 15% .  This does not include any other sales or promotions.

Rocking Horse for Baby Boy!!!

Hello dear friends, Martha Lucia here with a baby boy card. Our new release has a lot of baby die cuts and this Rocking Horse is one of my favorites.

Creating this card was very simple:
  1. Cut the base of the card using Crumb Cake card stock. The size is 5-1/2"x8-1/2" with score in 4-1/4"
  2. Cut a second layer using Bermuda Bay card stock. The size is 4-1/8"x5-3/8" and paste this layer over the base of the card.
  3. Cut a third layer using Whisper White card stock. The size is 4"x5-1/4".
  4. Take a piece of decorated paper and using  the large die cut from the Whispers Stitched Nesting Squares cut one for the center of the card.
  5. Cut 2 die cuts for the next small size using crumb cake card stock.
  6. Pass the two smaller die cuts through the big shot with a dot embossing folder.
  7. Assemble the three die cuts over the Whisper White layer. Paste the central square using dimensionals and cut the excess of the other two on the side borders.
  8. Stamp your sentiment. I used one image of the set Oh Baby of Joy Clair Stamps.
  9. Cut the Rocking Horse die cut using Whisper White card stock and pasted it over the square die cut using dimensionals.

What do you think?

The best part of this is that you can use these die cuts for a baby boy or baby girl card, just change the colors and be prepared to celebrate!

See you soon and don't forget that this week is our Celebration Blog Hop and this will be plenty of ideas and inspirations for all our occasions.

Pretty wordlets cards with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new post made for Die Versions.
Today I am going to share two totally different cards made with the same die cut technique that is called Die Inlay.
I used this technique for huge new DV  Curly Words sentiments- Love and Get well ones, but this technique can be used with any pretty solid die (hard to believe that it can be used in an easy way with a totally delicate cuts of complicated dies without using glue sheets for die cutting).
As for those big dies- I just made two cuts. One the the background and the second for the piece to insert into the background cut.  In the Love card I also added light background  under the title.
I also added two  DV Stiched Nesting  circles (one die cut , cut into two halves)  on the top and the bottom of my vertical paper strip and one bigger stitched circle was added under the stamped  flowers.

And here is my second card made in the same way.
I die cut the Get well background from black cardstock and added yellow die cut inside. I didn't need to make the background under the letters as those grey dots were just perfect under the holes.
On the top of this card I added one Stitched nesting  circle and Dream Catcher dies one over another.
It was like " sleep well" and then " get well".

I hope that you like both of my cards and see you again soon with more Die Versions inspiration.
I hope I have inspired you to create something fun today!  Please be sure to check back to the DV Blog often for more great ideas on how to use your dies!  And please share with us what you make on the DV Facebook Page.
