Sparkle N Sprinkle and Die-Versions are partnering up for a very special joint blog hop, called the Awareness Campaign.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the newly released Die-Versions dies and the stamp sets revealed in the joint blog hop will go to help with cancer research.
Almost every one has been touched by cancer is one way or another.  Either you or a family member has had cancer or you know someone who has had cancer.  The Designers from both teams are joining together to help the fight to eradicate all cancers by inspiring you.

Not only are we debuting NINE new Die-Versions low profile dies (July 2015 Reveal - scroll down to the end of the reveal), Sparkle N Sprinkle is also revealing THREE stamp sets for this Awareness Campaign.

The SNS sets are:
Pink Ribbon Background 408  (digi version DIGI408)
Survivor 713    (digi version DIGI713T)
Awareness 714   (digi version  DIGI714T)

A Grand Prize winner will be chosen from comments left on the Designers' blogs and will be announced on August 4th.  You won't know who the Mystery Designer is until after the Joint Blog hop, so remember to leave a comment with each of the Designers.

The Winner will be announced on the Die-Versions Facebook page, the Sparkle N Sprinkle Facebook page, the DV Blog, and on the SNS Blog and will receive a $25 gift certificate from BOTH Die-Versions and Sparkle N Sprinkle.

(*tip: click on the Designer's Home tab or the title of her blog if you have any issues with the link.)

We hope you enjoy the Awareness Joint Blog Hop as much as we have enjoyed creating new projects for it.  We also hope that we have inspired you as well.  Thanks for joining us and remember to comment on each of the Designers' blogs to be eligible for the Grand Prize.  (We love reading them too since your comments also inspire us.)

Mixed Drinks

Anne here and my bright card today card features the Mixed Drinks die I think this would be perfect for celebrating just about anything.

To start off, I die cut the image twice from white cardstock and once from black fun foam.  I kept all the negative pieces from the first die cut and colored these with Copic markers.  Sunny Daze glitter was also added to the flower centers and Glossy Accents was added to the drinks.

After coloring the second die cut with Copic markers, I adhered this layer over the die cut with all negative pieces, automatically giving me extra dimension.  A trick I learned from my fellow team mate, Lisa, was to add a "shadow" die cut. (Thanks, Lisa.)  Instead of black cardstock, the image was die cut from black fun foam, my favorite way to add dimension without having to worry about cutting down dimensional dots to fit the space.

The corrugated circle was recycled from a cookie tin and Fireworks Ink spray (Dandelion) gave it a fun, vibrant color.  The background layer was created using Bister wood stains on regular cardstock and a water brush.

My sentiment was die cut using the DV Cuppycake font, colored with Copic markers, and then covered with Glossy Accents.

Be sure to visit often to see what the rest of the team creates for you.

Sail Away With Me Nautical Cards

Happy Friday!! Lisa here to share a few nautical cards with you featuring dies from the June release.

For my nautical-themed cards, I used papers from Graphic 45's By The Sea collection. A Sweet Wordlet Happy and Sweet Wordlet Birthday were used for the sentiment. A Whispers Life Preserver Border was used along the bottom, with steel brads used to anchor them to the paper.

A Whispers Message in a Bottle die was covered with crackle medium and inked with distress inks. The stopper was cut from cork paper. The message was cut with parchment paper that was crumpled and then inked for some texture.

This card used all of the same dies: Sweet Wordlet Happy, Sweet Wordlet Birthday, Whispers Life Preserver Border and Whispers Message in a Bottle.

This one uses the same Whispers Life Preserver Border and Whispers Message in a Bottle, but the sentiment is from the Sail Away Stamp Set.

Tiki Bar Sunset

Anne here and today I'd like to share with you a plaque I created for a friend's beach house using the Tiki Bar and the older DV die Life Is Better Cute Cube.

The sunset background for the Tiki Bar is actually a paper towel that I used to sop up Distress Inks from my craft mat.  I thought it was too pretty to just throw away, so I used an adhesive spray and adhered it to a piece of cardstock.  Then I die cut it using a scalloped oval  die.

The Tiki Bar was die cut from a semi-glossy grey piece of cardstock and also from fun foam (my favorite way to add dimension).  The sand is from Mudd Puddles.  (It's actually called Snow, but it looks more like the type of sand I'm used to seeing, not snow.)  The small shells are also from Mudd Puddles (Shells).  The large shells are from a beach trip to Florida a few years back.

I left the Life is Better at the Beach Cute Cube in white as I wanted it to stand out from the glossy black background.  The netting is recycled from a sack of oranges.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the DV design team has created using all the new releases.

Tiki Boards

Hello Die-Versions Fans,

Today I am going to share with you a card that I made using the Whispers Tiki Boards die.

For this card I cut out the Tiki Boards 3 times, in the green woodgrain paper, the coral and peach paper.  I used some copper stain on the tiki boards themselves and I used the peach and coral paper for the flowers.  I then added that to the  blue paper and fussy cut it out and attached that to a brown piece of paper and then to some burlap.  I used blue card stock for the base of the card and I added a piece of Bo Bunny Boardwalk paper and then I added the tikin boards on the burlap to the card.  Now don't you want to head straight to the beach?  I sure do when I look at this card.

Be sure to check out the DV Blog often for more inspiration on how to get the most out of your dies!  Then share with us what you make on the DV Facebook page.

Hula Girl Mahalo

Happy Monday!! Lisa here to share a card with you using dies from the fun June tropical release.

I used the Whispers Hula Girl for this card. She's dancing in front of a lush garden of Whispers Tropical Hanging Flowers. The background is a Whispers Summer Flowers Background die.

So it looks like she's really hula dancing, I put her on an action wobble!! She's also covered with a Wink of Stella pen for a pretty shimmer.

Tropical Paradise

Hello crafty friends,

I'm in love with this Island Cove Whispers die!  Here are two cards using this beautiful die.

For my first card, I went very neutral color scheme and I love how it turned out.  I created a shaker element with a white die cut glued to the back of the card.  I used tiny gold and white beads as my shaking medium.   I used a second die cut on the front of the card, added a white ribbon, a pop of color with the green Island Paradise bottle cap sticker and a small #lovethis tag.  I truly #lovethis!

For my second card, I started with a water-colored background and water-colored die cuts of the Island Cove Whispers die (currently out of stock, but will be back soon) and the Dolphin Fun Whispers die.  A few stamped sentiments/images complete this card.  The card has a very soft look to it in person.

For my third card, I used a water-colored die cut of the cute Beach Turtles Whispers die.  I made another shaker element, placing one of the turtles inside the shaker and the other with the waves on top of the shaker.  I added a couple of pink flowers and a few sequins to finish off this card.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Until next time

Endless summer layout with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my first July post.
Today I am going to share my new layout made with 3 gorgeous summer photos and 2 even more gorgeous Die Versions dies as the main layout embellishment.
I called this page "Endless Summer" and it's easy to make with just  good photos, right themed paper and stickers and some new Tropical DV dies.
My second son lives in Ibiza, Spain and this is a little paradise island and I got some paradise summer  from him and it was a fun to make an easy made scrapbooking page.

After the page was already done with the  photos, the title and even some small stickers around . I felt that I need some major focal embellishment and this DV new released  Island cove whispers (out of stock, but will be back soon ) die was the MUST and the right one. It was  die cut twice and heat embossed with a mix of powders to get this green that I needed to add to my too much orange page. I made the layers and trimmed the die to the right size.

I hope I have inspired you to create something fun today!  Please be sure to check back to the DV Blog often for more great ideas on how to use your dies!  And please share with us what you make on the DV Facebook Page.

Hello You....

It's my day to post on the Die-Versions blog, and it seemed like a great day to showcase a beautiful new Die-Version die.

For today's card, I've used Die-Versions "Lighthouse" Whispers DV-474, a fun sentiment from Lawn Fawn, and a fun sand stamp from Great Impressions.

I started with a large focal panel, stamped the sand, and colored with Copics.
The water was added with some distress ink and a sponge, as were the clouds.
The sentiment was stamped on the water line.
I cut the panel to desired size, adhered it to the card base, and set it aside.
The lighthouse was cut three times, once from white, red, and Kraft.
Using the white 'shell', I added some two sided tape to the back side of the lighthouse, and began adding pieces that had been die cut from the Kraft and red papers.
Once all the pieces were 'embedded', I took a grey marker, and did some shadowing on the lighthouse.
It was then added to the focal panel.
A few hand drawn birds finished this little scene perfectly!

Well, thanks for stopping by today!

Sea You!!

Happy Friday!! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend!! Lisa here to share a project with you using my very favorite die from the June release!!

I couldn't wait to use the beautiful new Whispers Dolphin Fun die featuring this beautiful mermaid :) She was colored with Distress Inks in Squeezed Lemonade for her hair, Mermaid Lagoon and Salty Ocean for the waves and Pumice Stone for the dolphins. Her tail and and the insides of the dolphins were covered with sugar coating for a pretty sparkle.

She was placed over a Whispers Seaside Sunset die, colored with Squeezed Lemonade, Ripe Persimmon and Pine Needles Distress Inks. A Whispers Circles Background was cut in plastic to represent bubbles. Sea You is from the Sail Away Stamp Set.

Happy Birthday USA

Anne here showcasing three of the new patriotic dies recently released.  Hopefully this will give you some inspiration for the next Independence Day.

I created a step card using the USA die, the Independence Bell, and the Fireworks die.  My sentiment was created using the Happy Express Edge and the Birthday Express Edge.  All of the die cuts were colored with Copic markers and then heat embossed using Clear embossing powder.  The Fireworks die was adhered to  fun foam for a little added dimension.

The card base was also heat embossing using Sparkle N Sprinkle's Sparkle embossing powder as I wanted the background to have added sparkle as well as the individual elements. As you can see, the Sparkle embossing powder was just the thing to add sparkle but not all glittery.

Here are close-ups of the Independence Bell and the Fireworks die cuts.

This was an easy card to put together and would also be perfect for someone celebrating a July birthday.
