Craved Pumpkins

Hello crafty friends,

Mary here again with some more Halloween ideas using our Halloween dies.  Today I have this water color canvas to showcase.  It measures 12" tall by 18" wide.

I started by finding a couple of free pumpkin images on the internet and printed them on water color paper.  I let the inks completely dry and using Distress Inks I water colored them w/yellows and oranges.

On some of the pumpkins I cut the centers off and inserted my die cuts  (witches, skeleton and pumpkin vines) behind for a craved look.  On others I just glued the die cuts (web and house) on top of the pumpkins.

Next I colored the top of my canvas with blue and purple Distress Inks.  This took a while and gave me a good arm workout :)  The Halloween stickers around the top on my canvas came next and following them, I added the hanging spiders and the witch.

I used the following dies on this project:

Sweet Petites Wicked Witch

Thanks for stopping bye today.  I'll be back soon w/a more Halloween ideas.  Until then

    1. Thanks Kara! I have rediscovered my distress inks. Especially loving them for water coloring. Now that's I'm making art journal pages, I'm petty sure I need to get some distress stains :)
