In The Forest

Have you seen the newest release from Die-Versions?  It includes both Halloween and Christmas dies!  Anne here and for today's project I used the beautiful In The Forest die.

To start off, after die cutting it from white cardstock, I heat embossed it with Velvet Sparkle embossing powder.  Although it was extremely difficult to photograph (especially with the metallic silver card base), it is gorgeous in person.

The background was dry embossed using a Spellbinder M-Bossabilities embossing folder (Dainty Dots).  Staz-On ink (Cotton White) was then rubbed over the raised areas, creating my falling snow :-).

The sentiment was created using two of the Sweet Wordlets (Happy and Holidays), which were die cut from a Super Adhesive Sheet and then covered with Cloud Nine velvet glitter.

The triple looped bow was the result of combining two very different pieces of ribbon together.  The silver (thin one) ribbon did not want to cooperate, so I used double sided tape and adhered it to the center of the blue strip of ribbon.  As there are cut out areas in the silver ribbon, I covered the entire strip of ribbon with more Cloud Nine velvet glitter to get rid of any stickiness.  This is also a great way to add glitter to any type of ribbon.
