Message in a Bottle

Hello Die-Versions Fans,

Today I am here with a beachy card for those summer days at the shore!!

For this card I used the new Whispers Message in a Bottle die and I cut it out once with white paper and once with blue vellum paper.  I cut out the cork with some cork paper I have.  For the note in the bottle I used some linen color paper.  I also cut out two of the little crabs from the Whispers Beach Scene die using red paper. For the background of the card I took a piece of Distress Watercolor cardstock and colored it with my gelatos.  After placing the bottle and the crabs on the beach I took some MuddPuddles Malibu Beach and lightly put that on top of the gelato beach to give it some beach texture.  Then I took the sentiment  from one of my stamp sets and stamped it with black ink  on the tan paper and then inked the edges with Tumbled Glass Distress ink  and attached that to the watercolor paper.  Then I ran that thru my Zutter Distress It All and attached it to the kraft card stock base.  So now don't you want to go straight to the beach and hunt for your own Message in a Bottle?  I sure do!

Be sure to check the DV Blog often for more creative ideas on how to use your dies. And you can always share with us what you create with our dies on the DV Facebook page.
