Happy Dec 31st

Crafty Friends,

Today, I have a fun post for you.   I asked my friend and fellow design team member Lori Kobular to join me in making some New Year's Eve tags for this post.  Here's what we created for you.

I created a very simple tag with lots of sparkly glitter papers.  I used the following dies for this tag:

The celebrate from the Holidays Complements

The numbers from the Red Carpet font

The stars from the Wee Petites Super Stars

The sun burst from the Out of this world die set

All the dies were cut out of dark blue glitter paper and glued onto the tag.

Happy day- with myself layout and Die Versions dies

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here with my last project for year 2014!
And I decided to make a layout about myself. So what if I am not smiling? It was a great sunny day during our cruise to Cyprus  and I really like this photo my DH took and the fantastic blue wooden window shade background. So I scrapped myself (not very often).

Quite a few of DV dies were used here.
I mostly like this  Ornamental Fence die cut added under the photo a this teal color.
Then I added this The good  old days spot as this was a really good day.
I made the Musical tree cut and made some " leaves" of it , adding those " leaves" under the paper flowers on the bottom right corner of this layout.

I hope you like this lo and loved my share in DV blog for year 2014!

My Die-Version Favorite!

Merry Christmas!

Patti J. here, and I hope that you and your family are enjoying this wonderful day!
I'll keep this short today....

It's my day to post for Die-Versions, and what better way to end the year, than by showcasing my favorite DV die!  I found that I used the "Crochet Lace" die #DVW-322 for so many things this year. It's so versatile, and cuts like butter!

Here's what I made with the "Crochet Lace" die:

Hope you've enjoyed this look back!

Be sure that Santa knows you'd like some Die-Version dies, and while you are out and about, hope you'll sign up to follow us here on the DV blog!

Merry Christmas to you all,

Patti J.

Feliz Navidad

Crafty friends.

Today is Dec 24th a festive day for most Cubans.  This evening my side of the family gathers to celebrate Noche Buena at my parents.  Dinner is followed by our gift exchange, which is followed by some of us playing poker (the guys and my Mom) until the wee hours of the morning.  And just so you know the playing poker during Noche Buena is not necessary a Cuban thing.

My first project is this tag:
I used the Feliz Express Edges die, the Boughs & Bells Whispers die, the Diamonds Background Whispers die and the Red Carpet Font (currently not available) for my "Navidad".

The tag was quick and easy to make. I die cut the Feliz from red glitter paper and tucked it just above  a small section of the white glitter paper die cut Diamand Backgound.  I added my "Navidad" letters, also from red glitter paper.   Next came the Boughts and Bell die, which I die cut from silver paper and red glitter paper.   To finish the tag off, I added a curly elastic ribbon.

My second project is this card:
For this card I took different path with my colors, because I started with a kraft color music pattern card stock tag.  I went with browns and copper glitter paper.

I started by die cutting the Feliz Express Edges die 3 times and arranging it on my card on a slight angle... leaving room for the "Navidad" letters.  I love mixing my fonts and the Express Edge dies lend themselves perfectly for this.  For the "Navidad" letters I used the Lady Liberty Font die.

While making this card I kind of had Jose Felicianos's "Feliz Navidad" song in my head, so I went looking for my musical instrument dies and trust me when I tell you this cause me some stress because I couldn't find them.  On a side note... I sort and store most of my crafting supplies in stack-able bins by categories (love, birthday, travel, etc.) and I couldn't find my music bin.  This resulted in my leaving/stopping the creating process and clearing my office.  Several hours later I thankfully found the missing music bin and my much loved Happy Horn Whisper Die.

With my Happy Horn Whisper die in hand I die cut 2 from regular card stock and 1 from copper glitter paper.  I glued them all together to get a thicker die cut element.   As a finishing touch I added several of the smallest stars from the Wee Petites Super Stars die.  I love how this card turned out. The colors give it a very elegant look.

My third and last project is this card:
Isn't this owl the cutest thing!  For this card I used a piece of xmas pattern paper from last year with the month printed on it.  2013 was even printed below the month, but I covered it w/Santa's hat.

I stamped a star around Dec 24th and a sentiment a little below that in red.   Next I went to work on building my Santa Owl (LOVE)...

I took a photo of the pieces I die cut from the Build An Owl Shapes die.  The die cutting went faster than I expected.  I was able to die cut several sections on one pass though my die cutter by using small pieces of paper (in the colors I wanted).  Assemble was a breeze.

Happy Holidays crafty friends.  May they be safe and Very Merry!

Sweet Frames cards

Hello Die-Versions' fans!

Emmy here today with a set of cards, created with the Sweet Frames dies.

First, I want to apologize that I didn't post anything yesterday - with all the craziness around Christmas, I forgot to schedule my post. So, I'm combining both posts today into a long one with a lot of pictures :-)

I used pattern paper to die cut the frames and I inked its edges to make it pop. For the owlette I used brown cardstock and then I layered the die cut onto pattern paper.

*****

For the second card I used Sweet Frames "Smile" die and Whispers "Magic Wand" die. To create this card I used only colored cardstock, no pattern paper.

I adhered all layers with mounting foam tape and added rhinestones and a ribbon bow to finish off my design.

I hope you enjoyed today's post!

All the best for the coming Season! And see you in 2015!

Emmy

Thank You

Happy Friday!! Lisa here to share a project with you today using the new Thank You Cut Out die, as well as several other Die-Versions dies.

The Cut Out dies are so much fun - they make a beautiful focal point on the front of a card. Behind the Thank You Cut Out die, I added iridescent vellum to highlight the sentiment. A Whispers Lacey Dots die was tucked beneath the ribbon. A Wee Petites Button die was added to the center of the bow. A Wee Petites Buggy Butterfly was covered in sugar coating and gems and popped up with foam tape for dimension.

We would love to see your projects featuring Die-Versions dies on our Facebook page HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Happy Holidays :)

Celebrate Christmas Card

Hello Die-Versions Fans,

I am here today to share with you a Christmas Card that I made with the new Cut Out Celebrate die:

For this A2 card I started with kraft cardstock, I added the snowflake paper and then I cut out the Cut Out Celebrate die  in red and added that to the card.  Next I cut out the Whispers Loopy Lace die in white and added that to the bottom of Celebrate.  Then I cut out the Sweet Petite Carolers die in black and added that to the card.  Then I cut out the Sweet Wordlets Tis The Season die and the "to" from the Everyday Complements die in red and placed them on the card.  I know one of my favorite things is singing Christmas Carols with family and friends!

It's almost Christmas!

And of course my favorite time of the year! So, here it is - the last one for this Season - and my very favorite -

As you can see I really LOVE my Sweet Wordlets Dies. They are perfect for every card and any occasion! I use them all the time!

To create my card, I used Sweet Wordlets "Season's Greetings" Die. I die cut the phrase from white shimmering cardstock and I used on words as it is...

... then added white chunky glitter to the other one and adhered it to the bottom of my card.

I hope you are ready with your Christmas cards!

Have a wonderful week!

Cute layout with cuttest possible dies

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here with my second December project.
Lately I  try to move from cards to more versatile areas and to  show you the use of all Die Versions dies  in scrapbooking or Mixed Media projects.
So this is my scrapbooking layout, made with my dear granddaughter photo and a  few of DV DIES.

All die cut shapes were cut out from patterned papers from the same paper collections.  I made a Blocks background  as a part of my photo matting. Then I used just a part of  Sweet frames Pretty frame as a subtitle  over the photo.
Sweet Wordlets " I love you" was die cut  as a kind of journalling and glued over the blank chipboard speech bubble.
I also made dry embossing with  Heart burst  die - easy if you use a very think  paper; it just embosses and doesn't cut it. I added 2 halves of this embossed piece under the photo.

Hope I inspired you a bit with my  scrapbooking.
Each and every die I used is in Die Versions shop!

Miss You...

Good morning!

Patti J. here today with a project for the Die-Versions blog.
Since it's the holiday season, and we are missing our family, this die called out to me.
These word dies are so cool - they nearly fill an A2 card front, lengthwise,
and look at how much fun you can have with the die, along with mixing and matching patterned papers on a 6 x 6 card!

CONGRATS

front
Anne here using the Die-Versions new Congrats pop up card.  There are numerous ways to use these pop up dies, but for this one, I paper pieced the letters as I wanted them to match the stripe on the front.  A few sequins and ribbon, and you've got a fun and quick way to say way to go!
