Gift Boxes {pop-up}

Front
Opened
Die-Versions just released twenty new dies, including brand new pop up dies, cut out dies, and some new fonts.  Anne here using the new Pop-Up Gift Boxes die.

I die cut the card base from patterned cardstock and then paper pieced the inside panels and the gift boxes.  Goldenrod glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle was added behind the stars and vertical lines for a bit more bling.

Here is another version using this die.  Basically it is the same, except for my paper choices.  The sentiment on the front is die cut from Sticker paper using the Die-Versions Compliments-Holiday 1 die and covered in Goldenrod glitter.

One more thing I'd like to share with you.....did you notice that the first card and the sample on the packaging is the same?  I am over the moon excited that I was asked to create the samples for all of the new die packaging!  Doing the Happy Dance every time I see the packaging :-)

These new pop dies are really fun to use and the Gift Boxes can be used for so many different occasions.  Hope you have as much fun playing with these as I did.

Celebrate

Hello Die-Versions Fans,

Today I am going to share a card that I made with the Cut Out Celebrate die from the new October  2014 Die-Versions Release:

For this A2 card I started with lavender cardstock for the base of the card.  Next I took the Cut Out Celebrate die and placed it where I wanted it on the card and taped it down with removable tape and ran it thru my Vagabond.  Then I took some pink paper and placed that behind the cut out Celebrate, then I took some more of that same pink paper and I cut out the Whispers Lacey Dots border die and placed that on the card underneath the word Celebrate and then I cut out the Whispers Heart Pops twice, once in the pink and once in the same lavender paper as the card and then I pieced them together and cut them apart.  Next I took the striped paper, rounded the corners and added it to the card over the word Celebrate and then I placed the ballons on top of the striped paper.  I really like this Cut Out Celebrate die, you can place it anywhere you want on the card to cut out the word.

Please be sure to check out the DV Blog to see what else the Design Team creates with these new October Dies!!  And please share with us anything you create on our DV Facebook page.

I am here today with another Breast Cancer Awareness Card for the Die-Versions Think Pink Blog Hop and to remind you that there is still time to link up a  BCA card to our linky here for a chance to win $25.00 gift card to the Die-Versions on-line store.

For this A2 card I started with tan cardstock for the base of the card and then I took some music patterned paper with pink music notes and inked the edges with distress ink and added that to the base of the card.  Then I cut out the Whispers Ring of Hearts die in white and stamped the word Hope in black ink on that and attached it to the card.  Then I cut out the Whispers Rosy Music die three times, once in black shimmer paper, green paper and pink paper and pieced it together and added to the card.  Lastly I added the pink ribbon in the top right corner.

Giving Thanks!

Hello Die-Versions Fans,

Today I am going to share with you a Thanksgiving card that I made:

For this A2 card I started with brown card stock for the base of the card.  Next I added a piece of patterned paper.  Then I took the Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor cardstock and I used the rougher side and added some Tim Holtz Distress inks and some distress markers and colored the whole piece of paper and then blend the colors together with a baby wipe.  Then I cut out the Whispers Old Oak Leaves die twice with this paper and added that to the card.  Then I cut out the Whispers Giving Thanks die in green paper and I used just the words for the sentiment on the card.  Then I used my VersaMark pen and some clear embossing powder and heat embossed it to make the colors stand out more.

In keeping with the Die-Versions Think Pink Blog Hop I made another Breast Cancer Awareness card:

For this A2 card I started with pink card stock for the base of the card.  Then I took a piece of Authentique paper and inked the edges and added that to the card. Next I cut out the Whispers Lacey Dots border in light pink and added that to the top of the card. Then I cut out the boots from the Wee Petite Shoe Collection die twice, once in pink and once in black shimmer paper.  I cut out the sentiment using the Marker Micro font in more of the black shimmer paper.  I stamped the Julie Nutting skirt stamp with VersaMark and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder and then fussy cut it out to put over the boots.  I used Diamond Stickles on the boots.  I added a BCA ribbon and a sequin and then used Glossy Accents over the ribbon.

There is still time to join us in our Think Pink Blog Hop!!  You have until October 28th to link up your card on the blog to have a chance at winning a $25.00 Gift Card to the Die-Versions on-line store!

Be sure to stop back to the DV Blog tomorrow to see another project from the Die-Versions Design Team!!  Don't forget to share your creations with us on our DV Facebook Page.

Fall Love

Hello crafty friends,

Fall is my favorite season.  Fall weather (60s to 70s) is my ideal weather.  Fall occasional like Halloween, my birthday, Thanksgiving are my favorite.  I just LOVE Fall.  So even thou the Design Team is still working with the July Christmas release, I just had to take a break and bring you something Fall themed :)

I created a few cards using the following dies:

.
On my first card, I took the Sweet Petites Fall Festival border and created a frame, by die cutting four pieces from white card stock.

I used markers to color the individual motifs on the border.  I had to trim away sections of the border to make my frame fit.

On my second card, I took the Whispers Northern Maple die and create a negative element on the top layer of my card.  I used markers to create a golden ray affect.

I added dimensional tape to the back of the layer and attached it to my card base.  Next I die cut the Northern Maple again from pattern paper and glue it inside the top layers' negative leaf shape onto the card base.

A couple of foil stickers, a stamp sentiment and ribbon finished the card.

On my last card, I tried something a little different.
I started with a bold leaf pattern paper as my top card layer.  Next I die cut the Whisper Pattern Pumpkin die from white card stock twice.

I craved (get it... lol) out the pumpkin's inside, keeping just the frame.  I glued the pumpkin frame onto a stamped and water-colored image.  I trimmed my "scenic" pumpkin and attached it to the card with dimensional tape.

A few extra embellishments from my stash finished the card.

Thank you for stopping bye today and allowing me to share my love of Fall with your.  Until next time...

Snowflake Corner...

Happy Monday!
It's my day to share here on the Die-Versions Blog, and I thought that I would
showcase a couple of my favorite dies.  I'm amazed each time I create with these dies, at the easy removal of these delicate die cuts!

For this card, I used Die-Versions "Snowflake Corner" DVW-399, and Die-Versions "Peace on Earth" Sweet Wordlets DVSW-043.  Oops!  Looking at my photo, I just realized that I lost a bling on the right snowflake...better fix that before I mail this one!

Note that I used the actual die cut on the inside of the card, and the negative on the outside!

Thanks for stopping by!

Be sure to follow our Die-Versions Blog for daily inspiration with these wonderful dies!

Patti J.

The focal point of the card is the fabulous Good Times Sweet Frames die. It was cut twice in the patterned paper and offset for a shadow effect. A Wee Petites This Way Arrow die was used on the top right to point out the To The Beach sign on the paper. Wee Petites Button dies were used in the enters of the flowers and the ribbon.
