Merry Merry Merry

Hello crafty friends,

December is moving so very fast for me.  I still have the majority of my family to shop for, so I'm starting to feel the pressure, LOL.   Crafting for me is a great way to relax, so into my craft room I went for some much needed crafting time.

My first project was this tag, which I ended using on my Sister-In-Law's hostess Christmas party gift this past Saturday. She loves polar bears, so I found a great digi stamp, which I paired up w/a couple of die cut elements.
It doesn't take a lot of products to create something beautiful.  For this tag I used a 6x6 sheet of pattern paper, a few scraps of white card stock for my die cut elements and a digi stamp printed on white card stock.

I started by printing and coloring the digi stamp.  I die cut three MERRY(s) from the Merry Merry Corner Concept die.  I die cut the snowflake from the SNOW MUCH FUN Enhanced Spots die.  I assembled all my tags elements and added some clear stickles.

My next project was this card and another great example of less is more.  I used two dies, two 6x6 sheets of pattern paper and a few star sequins.  It took me about 15 minutes to make this cute, but simple card.

I started by die cutting my penguin using the Penguin Sweet Petites die and my MERRY MERRY from the Merry Merry Corner Concept die.   The Merry Christmas pattern paper was the jumping point for this card, so I arranged it on card at an angle, so that I could fit my MERRY MERRY die cut element at the top right.  I added my penguin on the bottom right facing the pattern paper's Merry Christmas sentiments and the trees.

I hope you have enjoyed your time here today.  Remember... a few basic products can work for you in many ways.  The penguin in my card could easily be replaced with any of the following:
Yes, I included the Baby Bot Sweet Petites die, because I LOVE him and I think he would make for a very cool card element.  In fact, I think I'll go make another card w/him on it.  Until next time...

  1. Love the tag and your card! That Merry Christmas paper is gorgeous!!

    1. Thank you Lori. That Merry Christmas paper (the paper studio - Hobby Lobby) was the inspiration for the whole card. I went looking for dies to use w/it. I'm in love w/the tag... need to make a card version using that digi... also need to get the DV snowflake dies :)

  2. Both of your projects are gorgeous, Mary!! I love the tag!! The image is so pretty!! And the card is beautiful!! Awesome job on both!!
