Season's Greetings

Hello crafty friends,

Today I have two cards both showcasing the beautiful Season's Greetings Script Whispers die.  This is truly a lovely die and I love the fact that I can use it for all my winter holidays, not just Christmas.

On my first card, I die cut the Season's Greetings Script from black glitter card stock.  I used scor-tape on the back of the black glitter card stock, basically turning the die cut into a sticker.   Next I cut my pattern paper to the size of wanted (4.5"x6") and die cut the  Season's Greetings Script in the location I wanted.  Keep in mind, my pattern paper didn't have text or a direction specific pattern, so I didn't have to worry about making sure my die cut was in the correct orientation.

Once again I backed my pattern paper with scor-tape.  Once the pattern paper was free of the die cut (be careful with all the curly parts of the die) I attached the pattern paper to my card base and inserted the black glitter die cut into position.

My finishing touch was to frame the pattern paper with a line of black glitter glue.   For the sake of totally honesty... getting all the tiny pieces of the pattern paper back into their spots took some time. My advised would be to take your time when lifting/separating the die cuts and save all those tiny pieces, so they can be inlay later.  Having the scor-tape or any double side tape on the back of the die cuts helps a lot.

On my second card, I used the die cut from the first card's pattern paper.   This time I started with a piece of white wash wood grain pattern paper (I recently purchased a pack of 25 sheets, because I love this pattern so much) that covered the whole front of my card base (5"x6.5").  Since I used scor-tape, my die cut was already sticky on the back, so it was super easy to attach, which I did towards the top of the card.

Next I reached for the Boughs-Bells Whispers die, die cutting it in green glitter paper and in red glitter paper. Using the green die cut as my base I glued the red bow on top of the green bow.  I added a few piece of metallic green pipe cleaners and using dimensional squares I attached the element to my card.

My finishing touch for this card was to cover the die cut with a coat from my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen.  Here's a picture of the shine it gives:

Thank you for stopping bye our blog today.  I hope you have enjoyed your time and that you came back soon.  Until next time
