Holly Branch

Hi Die-Versions Fans,

Lori here today and I am going to share with you a card I made with one of the Die-Versions Christmas in July dies called "Holly Branch" Whispers and a few older dies like "Poinsettia 2" and the Believe Sweet Wordlet.

For this A2 card I started with kraft cardstock and inked the edges with Olive Pastel Chalk Inkpad.  Then I cut the patterned paper to 4 inches by 5 1/4 inches, inked the edges with the same Olive Pastel Chalk Inkpad and attached that to the base of the card.  Next I cut out the "Holly Branch"in green paper twice and inked the edges and with Golden Glitz ink and attached them to the card.  I just love the way the holly branch swirls on this die!  It has such a delicate look to it!  Next I cut out the "Poinsetta 2" die in red paper.  This particular die has many pieces to add a lot of dimension to the poinsetta flower.  It has three layers to the flower and I inked each layer with Golden Glitz ink on the edges and then lightly over the petals to help make the lines on the flower stand out.  Then I put all three layers together with three brads and attached it on top of the two holly brnaches.  Next I took a Sakura red glaze pen and added some berries to the holly branches.  Then I cut out the Believe Sweet Wordlet in red paper, inked it with VersaMark and then added some clear embossing powder and heated it with my heat gun. It really makes the Believe shine!!  I don't think the shiny Believe and the gold giltz on the flower petals shows up real good in the picture, but it is striking in person!  So what do you think?  I think the "Holly Branch" goes perfectly with the "Poinsetta 2" die!!  I am really pleased with all the dimesions this card has!!
