Old Globe - West

Anne here with a tag I created to help promote Earth Day, which is celebrated around the world on the last Saturday of March.  The goal of this day is to get more people aware of global warming and reduce the effects of greenhouse gas emissions by turning off lights and non-essential appliances for one hour.  I've used Tula's Heart from Dilly Beans to help get people more aware.

I started off by dry embossing a tag with the Enchanted embossing folder by Spellbinders and then adding a bit of color with pearlescent chalks.  The image was colored with Copic markers and then fussy cut.  I also used an exacto knife to cut out the bottom portion of the heart, so I could slip it on top of my Die-Versions Old Globe - West.  I added some old Creative Memories paper behind the globe for the water that encompasses 3/4s of our Earth's surface.

The sentiment was cut out of an old magazine (talk about recycling) sort of like a "Ransom" letter would be cut from various letters.  Even though Earth Day has passed this year, you can put it on your calendar for next year to help save our Earth for all future generations.
For this and more fun dies, be sure to visit Die-Versions.  Stay tuned for our newest release coming out at the end of the week.
