Greetings

Crafty friends,

Mary here today with the final post featuring dies from the music release.  Tomorrow is release day... always an exciting day for us and I hope for you as well.   Tomorrow's release will also be extra special, because we'll be having a blog hop with Operation Write Home.

All of us on the Die-Versions's Design Team are super excited to take part in this blog hop.  I hope you can join us on Friday, March 7th.

Today's projects are two cards.  The first card is girly (I used pinks and reds), but not over-the-top girly... if you know what I mean :)   I used the Whispers Happy Horn and the Corner Concepts Happy Birthday dies on this card.  If you remember, the Corner Concepts Happy Birthday die is a corner die, but it can be converted into a straight die so easily with just a single cut down the corner.  I love the font size of the Corner Concept dies and this happy birthday die is one of my favorite reach for die.

I started my second card with the "rock this joint" pattern paper that I found in my scrap pile.  It was perfect for this release.  I wanted to re-reinforce the "rock this joint" idea, so I used the following dies:  The Whispers Happy Horn and the Whispers Happy Saxophone dies, both of which I die cut twice.  The black die cuts I used to give a shadow affect, by gluing them just a little off.

I also used the "Happy", which I fussy cut from the Solo Sentiments Happy Birthday die (a GREAT big bold die that I LOVE to use for major impact) and the Express Banners Birthday die.    I think the finished card does indeed "rock this joint" :)

Well, that's officially it for music release month, but I have no doubt that some of these dies will make appearances in future projects, because they are very popular and they go with so many topics/themes.  I'll be back in a few days and I hope to "see" you on my personal blog on the 7th during our blog hop with Operation Write Home.   Until next time...
