Hello, Love of my life and a bit more

Hello, my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here again (yes, day after day, it happens) and this time I got my new dies! Post service was bad, but not so bad after all. And here is my new projects made with some of those delicious dies.
First is a layout. As some of you maybe know, primary I am a  scrapper and then all other things around scrapping. So when I have some new  goodies, I make a layout and then... Then the sky is a limit. But layout comes first. And here is my first layout made as Die-Versions DT member with January released dies.

It's all about love layout:  my love to my first  and one of two grand kid Omer. He is two years old on this photo and he is gorgeous. So this Sweet frames  XOXO FRAME was just a perfect framing for his  lovely photo.

Then this Express Banner  HELLO  was made and I made a subtitle " love of my life" with stickers. (I sure need some fantastic DV fonts, but the one oldie  I have is  too big, so maybe the next release? )

Then I added buttons. Tons of them and all came from one single DV  Wee Petites  Buttons die.
And now to the punch line: all cuts were made with white chipboard! Yes, DV can cut thin chipboard in a very effective way. Both the  frame and the  title were heat embossed with off white embossing powder. All buttons were heat embossed with colored powders and as you can see it really looks like plastic buttons.
And if you wonder about other products on this page: the papers are from Prima and Fancy Pants; then stickers from Prima and the mask from TCW. I used LSG mists and Ranger inks, but it can be any mist or ink you own.

And then when all my new dies are still on my craft table it's just impossible not to add another project. So say Hi to my simple and very much die cut card.

I used the same XOXO die, the same Buttons and this lovely CONGRATS strip. 4 colors only, solid cardstock only- and a  lovely  result. Great card that can be used on any occasion and for any gender.

And here are dies I used today

Making a mini album is easy with DV

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Irit is here today and I am not going to show you any new release dies... Sorry- but I didn't get my design package yet, thanks to  a very " good" post service. But then I do have a lot of oldies and goodies from DV shop, so it's so easy to show  you some of my previous work.
This time I am going to showcase my wooden mini album full of die cuts and those are almost only embellishments I used over this project.
So welcome please my  Family mini album and as you can see this gorgeous Butterfly  Flourish  die  is a cover STAR.

And now the inner pages with more DV dies.
On this page I used  Daisy Flair die

And on  this one the most lovely Let's celebrate today die.

How about more of those gorgeous circle dies? Here is another one: Great day

And those delicious title strips? This Memories one is a must in your stash.

And here are the dies I used for this project:

A great day

Let's celebrate

Daisy Flair

Butterfly Flourish

I hope I inspired you a bit with my Family mini album and I hope to get my January dies soon and to make something lovely with them. If not- I still have a lot of  not yet posted projects made with the previous  DV releases.
See you soon!

Year of the Horse

Anne here with a card featuring the new DV Diamonds Background die.  Love the new background dies introduced this month.  And like the others, it cuts like butter.

Chinese New Year begins January 31 and it will be the Year of the Horse.  To help celebrate, I created this new year's card using a digi from Lacy Sunshine and colored her with Copic markers.  Since she's going to a party, she's all blinged out with Sparkle N Sprinkle Silver Leaf tinsel for the stole and the dress and feathers are accented with Cloud Nine glitter.  The lanterns are fussy cut from patterned paper by Graphic 45 (Birdsong collection).    The sentiment is also a DV font die called Missy Micro.  I colored a piece of scrap cardstock the same colors as the dress and then cut out the letters.

To add a bit of twist, this is actually an acetate card and the image and lanterns are adhered to the front of the card and the DV Diamonds Background is actually on the inside right panel.

I also wanted lots of sparkle on the background.  After die cutting the white cardstock,  I inked it up with VersaMark and covered it with White Spark embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  This makes the background really pop.  You can see a little bit of the sparkle in the photo below, but nothing like it looks in person.

So be sure to check back here each weekday for lots more inspiration from the DV Dynamos!  You'll definitely see something you're going to want to CASE.

Hello everyone,

Mary here with a layout featuring a few of my favorite Die-Versions dies.

I took my cue from my son's teal shirt and the red roses and stared with red, pink and teal pattern papers.  I die cut one XOXO Express Edge die and one Heart Bouquet Whispers die, both in pink.  You can't tell from this photo, but I used three die cuts of the Smile Sweet Frames die and glued them together, so that my frame element had some weight.  I used white for the smile frame element, because I wanted it to be the boldest element on the layout.   Here's a close up...

This is one of my favorite recent layouts and the best feedback was from my son when he saw me taking pictures of it.  He told me that it was cool even though it had a lot of pink.  High praise indeed :)

Until next time

I Love You

Hello Die-Versions Fans!!

Lori here today and I want to share with you a Valentine's Day Card I made using some of the new January Die-Versions Release!!

I am really loving this new Whispers Blocks Background die it is just the perfect size to use on an A2 card or for a mat behind a picture!!  You can leave some of the blocks in the background or do as I did and remove them all!!  It is just so versatile!!  I also used the Sweet Frames Love die to make a frame for my stamped image from Penny Black called "Touch of Love"  Hedgehogs.  I then cut out the "I" and "YOU" from the new "Gatsby" Font!  It is such a great size for cards and layouts and it is just so perky!!  I used a dark blue cardstock for the card base, I cut out the Blocks Background in gray cardstock and then I cut out the Love Frame in a light blue print paper, lastly I cut out the letters in plain blue cardstock.

Please be sure to check out the Die-Versions blog everyday for some wonderful projects from our Design Team!  And please be sure to share your creations with us on our Die-Versions Facebook Page!  We love seeing what you have made!!

Hi everyone and happy Friday!! Lisa here to share a layout with you today featuring several of the newest Die-Version dies.

I have so many photos to scrapbook, I don't think I'll ever get caught up. This one is of my adorable niece Lexi from 2005 (see, I am so behind!!). The papers are from Basic Grey's Best of Basic Grey stack. I used the new Hexagons Background die as a stencil with white embossing paste for some added texture to the page.

The Brick Background die was used for the bottom layer. I left some of the bricks in for a different look and it was hard...this die cuts so well they wanted to come out!! I started out with more bricks but they just kept falling off :) The Ring of Hearts die was next, peeking out the side, with a Wee Petites Heart Doodles heart on top. The new Lacey Dots die was added along the bottom. The flowers are all from Prima. The new Smile Frame was used to frame the picture. I cut it several times in cardboard and glued the pieces together before adding the patterned paper to the top.

Here you can see the dimension. I just love how these dies frame a picture!!

A Corner Concept Vines die was added the the corner, with another Heart Doodles heart on top, and added randomly around the page.

Lexi was cut with the Downhill Font die. The arrow is from the new Wee Petites This Way die set. The heart is another Heart Doodles die.

To Do List

Anne here with today's card which uses three of the New Releases from Die-Versions: the Torn Notebook Straight Edge, the Diamonds Background, and the Gatsby font.  Plus, I also used the Happy Birthday Corner Concept to create my sentiment.  The rest was hand written.

I started off with a journaling card and cut the Torn Straight Edge.  If you look closely, you'll see how it also creates a perforated edge just to the right.  This definitely reminded me of notebook paper.  I inked up the  torn edges a little and punched holes with a typical school hole punch.

The large "To Do List" is the Gatsby font and I used a Spica glitter pen to add a bit of sparkle.  A Spica pen was also used to outline the diamonds on the bottom of the card.  These are actually some of the negative parts form the Diamonds Background die.  (Love trying to use all the parts and pieces of a die cut.)

The base card was dry embossed with an embossing folder (Mystic).  A couple paper flowers were layered together and a large gem brad was added to the center.

This was a pretty quick and easy birthday card to put together.  Gotta love that!

"Love" Sweet Frames

Hi Die-Versions Fans!!  Lori here today and I would like to share with
you a layout I made with some Die-Versions dies.

For this page I used the new Gatsby Font and the new "Love" Sweet Frames aren't they just perfect for an Anniversary layout??  I also used the Corner Concepts "I love you" , the Sweet Wordlets "True" and "Love" and the Whispers Butterfly Kisses.  I cut out the "Love" Sweet Frames in Bo Bunny's Back to Basics Dot paper, and I cut the other dies out of navy blue paper.  The background of the layout is Bo Bunny paper also.  Here is a close up of the "Love" Sweet Frames:

I really am loving using these Sweet Frames!!  They really make a picture pop on a page!
Don't forget to stop by the Die-Versions Facebook Page to share your creations with us!  We just love seeing what everyone creates with our wonderful dies!!

Birthday Wishes

Today is my day to post on the Die-Versions blog.  I needed a Birthday Card for our dear friend, Mary, who came out for Sunday dinner, and thought that the Die-Versions Fence Background Die would make a very pretty card.

Isn't this beautiful on the black background?  And once again, the die cut so smoothly!

Hope your week is off to a great start!  I have only intermittent internet, so this is a SHORT post!  Must work while the signal is working.

Supplies Used:

Die-Versions 'Fence Background' Whispers Die DVW-314
Bugaboo Digital Image
Sentiment from Gina K.
Copic Markers
Glossy Accents
Ribbon and cardstock from my stash.
Perfect Layers Rulers for mats (see sidebar for details).

Have a great week!

A Memory That Lasts Forever

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday!! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend :)

Lisa here to share a project with you today featuring one of the newest dies from the Die-Versions January 2014 "Back to Basics" release!! All of the 28 new dies are absolutely fabulous and you are going to want them all!!

I am featuring the Whispers Loopy Lace die. Isn't it gorgeous!!

I cut the die in half to frame the sentiment. It was attached to the back of the sentiment and then popped it up with foam tape for dimension. The butterflies were hand-cut from the paper and attached with foam tape for a little more dimension.

I also used the Loopy Lace die along the bottom for a decorative edge. Each row was offset and crystal gems were added.

You can watch a video featuring this die by clicking HERE.
You can see the entire new release by visiting the Die-Versions store.
Also, be sure to stop by our Facebook page for more inspiration.

Hello Die-Versions fans!

Emmy here today with a new project to share - a vintage birthday card!

I used various DIE-VERSIONS dies to create the layers on my project.

For the center of my card I used Die-Versions' Angel Wing "Scalloped Circle" die and Sweet Wordlets "Celebrate" die

The Birthday title I die cut with the Express Edges "Birthday" die

For the decorative edge on my card I used Martha Stewart punch.

I hope you enjoyed today's post!

Come back tomorrow for more inspirational projects from our design team!
